VILLAGE WARDEN VACANCY

Part-Time / Flexible Hours

Location: Torworth

Salary: SCP2 / £12.65

Hrs: 10hrs per month

Are you someone who takes pride in your local area? Do you want to play a hands-on role in keeping our village clean, safe, and welcoming?

We’re looking for a Village Warden to support the Parish Council in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out regular litter picking around the village

Inspect and report any issues with public areas (e.g. play areas, benches, notice boards)

Support the upkeep of community spaces such as the Playing Field, bus shelters, and green spaces.

Report vandalism, fly-tipping or maintenance issues to the Clerk or relevant authority

Carry out minor maintenance and cleaning duties as agreed (e.g. replacing signage, sweeping paths, grass cutting)

Ideal Candidate:

Self-motivated and reliable

Has a practical, hands-on approach

Good communication and record-keeping skills

Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Takes pride in maintaining the community environment

Working Arrangements:

Flexible 10 hours per month, to be agreed with the Parish Council

All necessary equipment and protective gear provided
